Explore the Quirky Universe of Spiki and Alien childrens books

This series, currently consisting of two published titles, follows the heartwarming adventures of two best friends, Spiki and Alien. Each story is a celebration of friendship, encouragement, and the joy of sharing experiences with loved ones. With every new adventure, Spiki and Alien meet new friends, teaching young readers valuable lessons about kindness, support, and the importance of having fun together.

The origins of Spiki and Alien are deeply personal to me. I first created Spiki when I was just 9 years old, doodling on a chalkboard while waiting for my bus in 3rd grade. I was so proud of Spiki that I rushed home to draw him again on paper, eager to show my mom. Her smile sparked the idea that Spiki could bring joy to others, and he quickly became a constant companion on my school folders and wherever I could leave his mark.

A year later, in the 4th grade, I felt that Spiki needed a friend. While doodling on my folder during class, Alien was born. Together, these two friends became the stars of my drawings, bringing smiles to those who saw them. I always dreamed of turning their adventures into childrens books, but it wasn’t until the pandemic that I finally had the time to make this lifelong dream a reality.

Creating these books has been a family affair. My children, who were 10 and 11 at the time, helped bring Spiki and Alien to life in full color, adding a special touch to the characters I’ve cherished for so long. The process of working together on this project has been incredibly rewarding.

In the winter of 2023, I hosted a local contest for children aged 5-12 to create a new character for the third book in the series. We received 32 entries, and my family and I had a blast reviewing them all. The winning character will soon join Spiki and Alien on their next adventure, which I am eager to share with the world.
